Blank password for user account in windows 2000 serverI'm trying to set up a user account in windows 2000 server without a
password. When I try to add a new user without a password it says that the password cannot be left blank or some thing like that. I have done this before, but can not reminder the keys to type in that will allow for a blank password wile making a new user account. Thanks For any help in advance. 1) I used the back up command within Windows 2000 to back up the operating
system files, registry, and the rest of a C drive. 2) Comment -- The original HDD, was a SCSI drive. 3) Comment -- The SCSI drive died. 4) I am putting in a new IDE drive. 5) I want to restore to the new IDE drive. 6) If I load a copy of Windows 2K to the new IDE drive, can I then restore from the original backup? In otherwords, I don't know the details of what information is stored in a backup. It's not "by track" is it? Does the replacement drive have to be the same size, etc.? Bruce Start|Run|gpedit.msc then navigate to;
