Winsock gives error 10022Winsock gives error 10022
This only seems to affect Forte Agent where suddenly I cannot make contact. I have backups of all disks on my computer and can look up individual files and restore same - I just don't know which one to look for. System is on C: and the program files are all on Drive D:\Program Files. I am well catered for with virus scanners and do not see any trouble there as I am using Spyware Detector Borge sunny Perth Maybe this helps.

However I have now downloaded version 3.1 tryout and that worked instantly. Something very odd going on. The old version was made to ask for access via firewall as I had someone called dazzle come in with what appeared to be a Eula. I did not sign and was disconnected - however the Acornis backup did work that time and did so for about 2 months. I did not know what dazzle had to do with it but maybe they have created a different kind of trouble for me. Something must have caused some grief and I had been in ZoneAlarm where I now found that the access to the internet had been blocked for Forte Agent - obviously done by me - now corrected and working again - same good old Agent that I am used to. The result of the block was that it did not ask for internet access as it usually did! Error 10022 or WSAEINVAL with Agent 3.2 or newer The most likely cause of this is that you set Agent to use SSL on a server that does not support it. Go to Tools | Servers And Accounts and set the server in question to not use a secure connection. -- Show quoteHide quoteRegards, Dave Patrick ....Please no email replies - reply in newsgroup.
