Uninstall Maxthon browser?Windows 2000
I am doing a little housecleaning and want to uninstall the Maxthon browser. It is not listed in the add/remove programs section nor is there a ling of it under programs under the start menu. Is there possibly another name it might be listed as in the add/remove section? Help please. Thanks in advance... Bob Look at the first hit at link below.

Despite uninstalling, some programs, such as mhtml, etc. were still looking for Maxthon to open them, despite changing the default programs. I found Maxthon left some of it's own file type associations left in the File Types section of My Computer folder options. I deleted them, and also wiped all traces of Maxthon from the registry and it fixed the issues. You may not have the same problems, but I just wanted to give you a heads up. Opening certain types of links in OE, also looked for Maxthon, but that too was fixed. Their uninstall option leaves a lot to be desired.
