Inaccessible Boot DeviceHi,
I have Windows XP Professional (home edition) on my PC. When starting the system all I receive is a blue screen indicating STOP 0x0000007B INACCESSIBLE_BOOT_DEVICE. The message indicates if this is the 1st time this screen apprears restart the computer or run chkdsk/f. (This is the 1st time this screen has appreared!) I cannot get to the desktop or any programme to run a virus check even!. I cannot shut down the PC until I hold down the shut down on the unit for 10 seconds. It also mentions to check for virus or any hardware that has been installed. I have tried starting in safe mode but no luck. The recovery cd does not clean or recover etc. No new hardware/programmes were installed. I would appreciate some help. Thank you. Clueless about computers wrote:
