HELP! Cannot start NEW projectto start a NEW project, and get the error: VC package not available or not registered And cannot start a new project. As I said, I can open anything currently in development, but nothing new. Recently I installed XP SP-2, and the VB2003 upgrade, and I even tried to reinstall vb2002 and 2003 and it STILL won't open a new project. Has anyone seen this? Could SP2 be the cause? Any help would be greatly appreciated! When you reinstalled VS did
you see any errors at all, maybe a file or two couldn't be read off of your disks? I had a scuffed disk way back that stopped me from getting one silly little file (that could be read directly, just not by the installer for some reason) and a call to MS for a replacement disk fixed it. But anyway, to your issue: There's a loophole you can try to take advantage of for help "from the source": Since you've fully tried reinstalling and can't start a new project right out of the box then call MS and use your "Installation Issues" free support. smith www.smithvoice.com Show quoteHide quote >>, and I even tried to > reinstall vb2002 and 2003 and it STILL won't open a new project.
