HELP! Cannot start NEW project

I've been working on several programs, without problems, but I just went
to start a NEW
project, and get the error:

VC package not available or not registered

And cannot start a new project.

As I said, I can open anything currently in development, but nothing new.

Recently I installed XP SP-2, and the VB2003 upgrade, and I even tried to
reinstall vb2002 and 2003 and it STILL won't open a new project.
Has anyone seen this? Could SP2 be the cause?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

VS.NET 2002 worked fine on my Windows XP Professional SP2 machine.

Haven't seen it on any XP2 installations here.  When you reinstalled VS did
you see any errors at all, maybe a file or two couldn't be read off of your
disks?  I had a scuffed disk way back that stopped me from getting one silly
little file (that could be read directly, just not by the installer for some
reason) and a call to MS for a replacement disk fixed it.

But anyway, to your issue: There's a loophole you can try to take advantage
of for help "from the source":  Since you've fully tried reinstalling and
can't start a new project right out of the box then call MS and use your
"Installation Issues" free support.

Thanks, running the REPAIR installation fixed it.
