I am using WMI to login into and remotely reboot my Windows 2003 server.

The only problem is that if the screensaver is active or monitor off and
needs to be unlocked by a password, it will allow me to login but not to
reboot the machine?

Does anyone have a way around this? Or to tell teh PC to wake up?

Sure.

Why don't you delete the password key (IsSecure or IsScreenSaverSecure = 1
(something like that)) from the registry?

that is an idea....then restore it right before boot.

Do you know how you could do this remotely?
