I shouldn't admitt this but I cut my teeth on Watfor:

1967 - WATFOR implemented under IBM RAX operating system

We punched out programs on cards (data too)
and fed them into a reader about the size of an econoline van.
Then the next day we picked up our results.
But, hell. They say we put a guy on the moon with this.
