Windowed command prompt AX component in VB6 ?

Is there an ActiveX object that exists that would allow a legacy MS-DOS
program to run in a "windowed" state, but from within a form ?  I have
found a number of utilities that allow VB to modify the "shell"
function, but the "shell" function opens up a new window.  I would like
to have the program open up in the same form I am building my VB code
in, and have that object "embedded" into the form.

That said, I have also looked at creating my own ActiveX that would
perform this function.  Any ideas ?

Wrong group.  This group is dedicated to VB.NET.  You may want to repost
your question in one of the groups in the "microsoft.public.vb.*" hierarchy.
