VSTO 2k5 QuestionI had a question regarding VSTO at:
http://msdn.microsoft.com/newsgroups/default.aspx?dg=microsoft.public.vsnet.vstools.office&mid=e68b04bb-6255-438c-92c3-df4d29901633 but apparently, none of the moderators over there don't seem to answer with 48 hours to MSDN subscribers. Can someone help me out? Thanks! Dear Customer,
The microsoft.public.vsnet.vstools.office newsgroup is not a managed newsgroup, which we will not monitor. Here is a list about the managed newsgroup. http://msdn.microsoft.com/subscriptions/managednewsgroups/list.aspx Commonly the VSTO to interactive the Office product via the Office Object Modal. But based on my research, it seems that the Word Object Modal did not expose such an interface/Method. Also I think for your scenario, we can add the control in the design time, or at a fixed place. If you hope that the Control will always be visible no matter which page we are viewing, we can host the .NET usercontrol in the Task pane. Here is a link for your reference.
