Get UNC using vb.net

Can anyone help with this?

I need to be able to get the UNC from a path such as:

"q:\anyfolder\anotherfolder\" ... returns the full UNC path on a LAN

There are several examples in this group but none of them work
correctly. Does anyone have a function in VB.net that actually returns
the UNC?
