Would appreciate and comments anyone has that has used both SharpDevelop and
M'soft's VS.Net IDE to develop applications.  Like what are the shortcomings
of SharpDevelop?

I still use sharp develop  once in a while

biggest shortcomming that you can`t do webdevelopment   it is   a more
spartan environment

i don`t have reall problems with sharp develop it is a pretty nice
alternative in my opinion

well i just moved to the 2.0 version wich should also support remoting now
( this was missing in the previous version )

i do not encounter strange exceptions however i do not find my way in the
IDE as i do in VS.Net

one of the things that anoy me is that the 2.0 version is localized
so if i start it on a dutch computer all menu`s etc etc are in dutch ,,,, i
don`t want that !!  ,,  i prefer everything in english

regards

Michel

Thanks for all the comments.  I was hoping it was all that the VS.Net IDE was
but appears to have some significant shortcomings such as web development.
Maybe it will be well rounded in some future version.
