Hi All

Any idea where I can get some attractive icons, bitmaps etc for button
images to make my applications look more attractive

The ones that come with VS, you can find under:

C:\Program Files\Microsoft Visual Studio .NET 2003\Common7\Graphics

ACK. VS 2005 even comes with an updated icon and image library which
contains Windows XP-style icons and images. Note that the graphics library
is not available in all editions of VS.NET and maybe isn't installed on your
system because it has not been chosen to be installed during VS.NET's setup.

I am looking for hints on where to find icons, bitmaps etc for a program I
am writing

I am after things like Cash, Credit card, Cash register icons etc to give a
more graphical appearance to buttons etc in my POS program

I have viewed those in VS.net 2005 and VS.net 2003 but they are not what I
am after

Steve,

Be aware that the use of icons and bitmaps is seldom free. In my idea is it
therefore very difficult to give you an advice (beside the with Visual
Studio Net for that purpose supplied icons/bitmaps/ and avi's) to tell you
where you can get them. In your case I would just start using Google and see
if there are free ones or otherwise; see what it cost to get licenses for
collections as I want to use.
