OK, I'm still in class and we are now adding menu bars. one thing that I
noticed is that when I define a hotkey (&Exit), the underline on the Exit
kind of toggles when I hit the ALT key.

I looked at the Office suite products, like Excel and Word and the underline
is present all the time. Then I looked in IE and the underline on the
menubar toggles here with the ALT key also.

How do you make the Underline present all the time?

Thanks in advance!!!

That's a Windows setting. Control Panel => Display. Go to the Effects tab,
uncheck "Hide keyboard navigation indicators until I use the Alt key."

(That's from a Win2K system. WinXP might be different.)

Office 2K was developed using older tools just as the feature was being
introduced. As a result it doesn't respect the setting and shows the
underline all the time.
