mouse freezes in Visual StudioFor the past month or so, while working with VB.net, as I use the mouse to
either move a control or resize it, the mouse cursor will freeze sometimes. This happens from several times a day to once every two or three days. I have had this happen very, very rarely with other programs. I have tried different types of mice, updated the video driver, etc. to no avail. The most recent occurrence occurred with only Internet Explorer and Outlook Express running (and, of course, all those other things like Norton Antivirus and SpySweeper and many other services) I can not find much on this problem on the web. Has anyone had a similar experience wile using Visual Studio? My hardware: AMD Athlon 64 X2 dual core processor at 2.2 GHz, 2 GB RAM, Nvidia GeForce 6800 video card. It looks like this isn't a vb problem ....

this newsgroup some have had the same problem with VB2005. In vb2005, I seem to remember that some have turned off the "Edit and Continue" feature. -- Show quoteHide quoteDennis in Houston "Theo Verweij" wrote: > It looks like this isn't a vb problem .... > > > William LaMartin wrote: > > For the past month or so, while working with VB.net, as I use the mouse to > > either move a control or resize it, the mouse cursor will freeze sometimes. > > This happens from several times a day to once every two or three days. > > > > I have had this happen very, very rarely with other programs. if that may help. Of course, it may not be a Visual Studio 2005 problem, but 90% of the occurrences have been while using Visual Studio. And I do recall that when the product was in beta there were complaints of such happenings. Can it be memory caching, all those other programs you mention are using very less memory than Visual Studio?
