Did Mabry Software Tank!

I have been a user of the Mabry FTP.NET control for a long time. When I go
to their website www.mabry.com I get a page not found message. I have been
doing this for 3 weeks now. I am hoping someone knows their status as I need
to update some controls I have from them. I m hoping they have DotNet 2.0
versions.

Also, Can I use controls intended for VB 2003 in a VB 2005 app? IE DotNet
1.1 and DotNet 2.0. I know I would have to have both frameworks installed
(yeech!)

TIA

Marcus

A Google Groups search indicates complaints on no support, inability to
contact, etc as early as February 2006. Their home page does appear to be
gone. They may be gone as well.

I called their phone number (360-629-9278) and it sounds like they are still
a real company. No one in customer service answered, but we all know that
that doesn't always mean anything. ;-) You can try to leave a message on
their customer service line and see if they get back to you.

You should be able to use controls written in earlier versions fo the
framework in ver 2.0 no problem.

In theory yes.  However, there may be changes in the .NET Framework classes'
implementation which could cause the component to behave differently in .NET
2.0.

Hi,

I "think" they no longer are in business.  I don't know this absolutely,
though.

Up until January, they published my book, and were a good company to work
with.  I took over at that time, and a couple of months later their web site
went blank.
