Re: Is VB.NET Popular???It had been a while since "The Road Ahead" came out, and sales just weren't doing that well anymore. So I decided to write Visual Basic books under a pseudonym. Actually, I created these "microsoft.public.dotnet" forums for the sole purpose of selling books under all of my names (yes, I am Francesco Balena; I'm also Paul Vick, and Bill Vaughn, and Charles Petzold). Another confession is that all of the so-called questions posted by readers on these forums are fabrications. I have a staff of about 10 who just post messages for me all day long, so that I, under my various newsgroup aliases, can post witty and complete answers--and sell books. But truthfully, the books just don't seem as important since Windows Vista came out. Does anyone want to buy a copy? Well, we'll see who's laughing now!!! ;) Thank you for your support all these years, Lord Zoltar. I have asked my
staff to disable all of the bugs in your copy of Windows, and permanently turn off the blue-screen-of-death. ----- Tim Patrick or Larry Ellison Show quoteHide quote > *Gasp!* *Shock!* > I KNEW it!!! > All along they called me crazy whenever I said "Tim Patrick is really > Bill Gates" and no one would believe me! Larry Ellison? You're comparing Larry Ellison to Bill Gates?
I'm not sure which one of those two would be more upset. I read the Balena books before I read the Tim Patrick book, and come to think of it, there is a resemblance of style. They both use the word "the" a lot. Robin S.
