Aaron - You're becoming famous!

Aaron,

One of my sons is completing his final year in Clinical Psychology and I
thought you'd be pleased to know your on-going contributions to this NG
have now become an important part of their daily class time.  (This is
TRUE!)

Apparently your ramblings (Psychosis) are most intriguing, and your use
of aliases (Schizophrenia) has some interesting traits.

Your totally unproven claim to programming superiority
(Hallucinations/Delusions) are also of tremendous interest to the entire
Psychology class, likewise your use of intimidation, profanity and
racist outbursts, which now have separate study groups.

If you don't mind, my sons class would like to ask a couple of questions
- Is your current mental state due to a pathological birth defect or
drug overdose or was it caused by some kind of head trauma (TBI -
Traumatic Brain Injury) sustained during your adolescence?  Have you
currently, or at any time in the past, been prescribed any medication
(Clozapine, Geodon, Seroquel, Risperdal, Zyprexa etc) to help alleviate
your obvious mental anguish?

Any information you can provide would be of great help for those now
studying your mental health, and please, keep the contributions coming,
once they determine what's actually wrong with you they might name the
illness in your honour!

Regards,

ShaneO

I wonder why you have chosen to alias yourself as ShaneO - are you saying
you are therefore Schizophrenic?

Your sons class may be better off sticking to the topic of this forum and
perhaps ask some questions about how tools like VB.NET can be used in
clinical analysis for example.

Maybe his name really *is* Shane O. I think he's referring to how
Aaron posts a bunch of responses to a thread using different
aliases, and even argues with himself. It's odd, to say the least.

Maybe ShaneO's son can figure out a way to help Aaron let go of
his anger, thereby providing benefit to this newgroup.

That should have read: "Multiple Aliases"

They actually use VB.NET for precisely these purposes, but can't help
but be distracted by the other issues I mentioned.

As far as being off-topic, where were your comments on this point when
this individual was ranting about the holocaust, 9/11, the war in Europe
etc, etc?  I know that two wrongs don't make a right, but I, for one,
have put-up with enough of those off-topic threads and if my single post
goes some way to putting an end to it, then so be it.

Oh don't get me wrong Shane, the ranting lunatics and flamers can be very
frustrating and I for one have taken the flame bait in the past, not often
mind you!  The whole idea though is to simply ignore the idiots, they do
after a while find no one responds to them, their questions go unanswered as
they have been killfiled by so many and eventually they fade out and die.

You are 100% correct.  After many years of reading newsgroups I guess I
must re-train myself to firstly read who is responding, not the
response, after all, I've re-trained myself for .NET so how hard can
anything else be? :-)

I guess the name calling (for insulting purposes, I mean) and the
racism are the main things that immediatly drive me away from the posts
of such trolls -- or ranting-lunatics/flamers as you call them.

On the other side, I don't mind strong opnions or even profanity (when,
say, correctly applied), if the discussion is valid -- of course,
insulting and racism automatically nullify any validity, at least to
me.

But there are threads one is only naive to post into, for it would be a
flagrant case of troll condoning. Therefore, in such threads, even if
you are *craving* to post: don't.

=)))

B.
