Aaron,

why don't you get someone who knows about computers to have a look at
your pc.

I downloaded the SP last night and installed it without any trouble. Even on
my lowly AMD processor with only 512 MB of RAM, it installed in less than 30
minutes. And I didn't lose any time as I was able to work on other things
while the software was installing. Wonderful thing, multi-tasking. :)

And to give MS credit, they did say in the installation dialog that it
"could take several minutes to several hours depending on the items that
must be updated." Normallly, you're wondering about how long it will take as
your progress bar runs up and down the range limit. :)

Likewise, mine installed in around 30 mins without any trouble.  I
suppose I'm also "lucky" as I've never experienced Crashes, Lock-Ups etc
while working in VS 2005 - Maybe it's because I don't have any computer
games loaded on my system and pay meticulous attention to keeping my
system clear of unnecessary applications?
