Problem with turning off Appication Frameworks and with posting alas a subscriber because somehow the msdn configure name and my profile name are no longer a match. And for a whole day I am unable to use the configure link, it just return an error page, so I need hlep with that also. here is the original post; I am trying to change the way my application is started, since I have some licenseing issues to deal with before hand. I find that when I disable the application framework, the next time i load the project and then try to look at a form that uses icons on the tool strip (stored in the app resources), the designer says there is no such property. I ell it to ignore and contrimnue and it sets the image property to none. I click on the image property, upcome the resource manager and there are my icons and I set them and all is fine until the next time I load the project. Is this the way this is supposed to work? -- Terry Terry,
Yesterday I've reported a problem with the subscriptions and managed newsgroups. I got an answer that they will work on that. With your other problem I have no experience (it is better not to combine questions to a newsgroup) Cor Show quoteHide quote "Terry" <TerryLa@nospam.nospam> wrote in message news:8AE43C55-715B-4013-B880-08934A00A37C@microsoft.com... > Below you will find a ? I'll assist you with the ToolStrip problem. Before we get started to find out the root cause of the problem you're having, would you mind letting me have more information on this issue? 1. What version & SKU & service pack of Visual Studio you're working on? 2. I did the steps listed below in Visual Studio 2008 (Team Suite) SP1 however I was unable to get the error message as you described, the image was loaded correctly. Please correct me if I missed anything: a. With the application framework enabled, add an image from the application resources to the ToolStrip control. b. Disable the application framework and save the project. c. Exit Visual Studio. d. Re-open the project. e. Open the Form designer - and see the error at this step. 3. What the exact error message is? Is there a stack trace available? 4. If you don't open the form designer, instead you open the form.designer.vb, what the code looks like for the ToolStrip control image assigning? Once I got these information I will try setup an environment for reproducing the error. Thanks, Jie Wang (jie***@online.microsoft.com, remove 'online.')
