URGENT HELP NEEDED.. NO Ctrl+Alt+Del on Win2k Server (Cant Logon) . .PLEASEHope somebody can help me out.. I am maintaining a Win2k server with Citrix on it. Two days ago, we had a major power outage (transformer blew off) in the area. One of the office staff shut all servers down, as the power restore was about to take 4-5 hours. After getting the power back, all servers except the Win2K+Citrix server came up fully. Strangely on normal boot it is missing the CTRL+ALT+DEL prompt. THe server seems running at reduced strength as some users can login using their citrix accounts to that server.. can browse mapped drives on other servers. but doesnt have internet access (thru citrix).,..and so are their emails. I have tried.. Safe Mode w Networking .. Same results. (no C+A+D) Last Known good Config.. Same results. Safe mode works fine & does get that C+A+D prompt and i can use admin login to get into the server... but that all i can do. I have tried to disable the Network cards (2)in safe mode to see if they took a hit.. but no luck when booting normally again. Searched google for 2 days now.. nothing seems to help... you all are my last resort before reloading the unit or trying restore. Any help or guidance is truly appreciated. THANKS.. AP Hi,
You haven't by any chance PowerChute 6.x UPS software (APC) installed on the computer? If so, upgrade it to v7 or uninstall it. PowerChute 6.x cases a lot of issues, mich more than what is described here: PowerChute Business Edition - Customers Using 6.x Must Upgrade to 7.x due to Java Runtime Environment expiration http://nam-en.apc.com/cgi-bin/nam_en.cfg/php/enduser/std_adp.php?p_faqid=7202 Regards, Torgeir AP wrote: Show quoteHide quote > Hi All, > > Hope somebody can help me out.. > > I am maintaining a Win2k server with Citrix on it.
