Win2k hangs at 2000 screenReplaced second HDD with larger (10gb to 160gb) on Sunday, used Norton Ghost 9.
Since then my system has been slow through the Win2k start up screen and has sometimes stalled there. Nothing was touched on the system drive. Suggestions and help are appreciated......I am afraid to turn the computer off now that it is up again. TK TKinHawaii emailed this:

I know this isn't very helpful, but I have the same problem on my desktop > Since then my system has been slow through the Win2k start up screen and has > sometimes stalled there. > > Nothing was touched on the system drive. > > Suggestions and help are appreciated......I am afraid to turn the computer > off now that it is up again. PC and on my Mum's laptop. If they hang during the startup, they almost always boot fine on the 2nd attempt. My Mum, who's not very computer literate, is convinced her laptop just needs to 'warm up', but this happens to me sometimes on a reboot after the machine has been on for several days. I've been living with this for 3 years on my desktop and 2 years for Mum's laptop. No idea what the problem is and had no joy finding out. But both desktop and laptop were made by Dell and are running Win 2000 Pro SP4. Regards, ...matthew
