Delegating password changes....W2k AD, SP4 and up to date on patches.... I've delegated the rights to change passwords for a specific user OU to a security group in AD. Created a taskpad that ought to work fine. In fact, it *does*works fine when I (as admin) launch and run the MMC (from the msc file) on the DC. When I copy the taskpad/MSC file to a user's desktop (a user who is a member of the security group in AD), she gets the error "snap-in failed to initialize" when launching it. She's on WinXP SP2....I have not installed the W2k adminpak; is this necessary? Or is there another cause? I haven't yet had a chance to see whether there's any problem when I launch it from her desktop/PC while logged in as myself. I've never done this before, so please be gentle. And note: I'm not in any way too proud to be happy that I've missed something obvious; I just want it to work!
