A question about USB portsMy PC has two USB ports and is running Windows 2000 Professional.
One USB is used for a Palm cradle. The other USB is used for a 4-port USB hub. And my USB mouse is plugged into this 4-port USB hub. For some reason, *sometimes* after a Palm cradle hotsync, the 4-port USB hub would "lose power". My USB mouse would no longer work. It would often be resolved when I unplug and re-plug the 4-port USB hub. Very frustrating. Does anyone know why this happens? Use a powered hub instead and this will not be an issue. You are simply
asking a port for too much power. Uncle Ben wrote: Show quoteHide quote > My PC has two USB ports and is running Windows 2000 Professional. > > One USB is used for a Palm cradle.
