What's best for Windows 2000 small network, NTFS or HPFS ?

HPFS is already on this HDD.

Sorry, the boot disk I used has a fdisk that identifies it wrongly as HPFS
but my Win98 boot identifies it as NTFS.

That is a common mistake made by older utilities, such as fdisk.

Just think of NTFS as MicroSoft's version of HPFS.
