I read this as an explicit trust between two domains in
two forests, not a transitive trust between two forests. In which case, sure, you can create an external trust. Remember that name resolution is key to this. DNS for sure. Possibly LMHOSTS or WINS... Arek's links are looking like a good place to start. In addition, try something like this in Google: "active directory" trust external site:microsoft.com Sorry guys, I went dyslexic. In 2000 you create external trust between
domains, in 2003 it can be between forest or domain and can be filtered. -- Show quoteHide quoteHope it helps........... dw Don Wilwol Blog - http://spaces.msn.com/members/wilwol/ Web - http://capital.net/~wilwol/dw.htm DonWilwol(REMO***@yahoo.com "ptwilliams" <ptw2***@hotmail.com> wrote in message news:uJsfszxLFHA.3064@TK2MSFTNGP12.phx.gbl... > Not necessarily.
