I'll be just working along then BOOM.  Computer starts to reboot.  Any idea
what could be causeing this?

check out the event viewer for further info

plus try

right click on My Computer and select properties
select advanced tab
click Startup and Recovery

untick the Automatically reboot option

Click OK twice

then if it crashes again it will "blue screen" which will provide some
additional information in the form of error codes etc.
