hello,

I have 2 computers joined to the domain, MyComputer (Win 2000 SP4) and User
(Win XP SP1), when I try to go from MyComputer (or any other computer joined
to the domain) to \\User from the run, it gives the following error:

\\User is not accessible.
logon failure: the user has not been granted the requested log on type at
this computer.

I always used to do this I don't know why it is not working now, any help
would be highly appreciated,
thank you

Sounds like your account has not been granted the SeNetworkLogonRight right on  the target computer.

You can use Group Policy or NTRIGHTS from tip 6705 in the 'Tips & Tricks' at http://www.jsiinc.com

ntrights +r SeNetworkLogonRight -u DomainName\UserName -m \\User

Hello Jerold,
thank you for your reply, I get that tool and I run that line, and the logon
rights were given successfully, but, I still when I run \\User I get the
same error message, I don't know if you have any other support, or anyone
else can help, but I really want to solve this issue,
many thanks.
