Hi!

I am planning to remove my first windows 2000 dc to the network. Here are my
problems:

(1) I am currently following steps in the following URL, I don't know if
there are missed steps:
http://www.windowsnetworking.com/kbase/WindowsTips/Windows2000/AdminTips/ActiveDirectory/Windows2000DomainControllerOperationsMasterRoles.html

(2) Need to know how to transfer Primary DNS to new box that will act as
primary dns after old box was removed

(3) transfer DHCP roles to new box

hoping for your reply

Hello,

The article is just talking about to transfer your FSMO roles. It seems it
is fine.

Regarding the DNS, you could use this article to do it:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/323383/en-us

For the DHCP, you need to install the DHCP on the new box and then you could
use this article to transfer the DHCP database there:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/130642/en-us

If need further information, just let me know.

Regards,

Adriana
