Install XP Home OEM over XP Pro...

Hi,

New computer, C: partition mirrored from old computer over to the new disk.
This was a unregistered XP Pro.

Now we have a XP Home license / cd and we need to install this XP Home over
the XP Pro partition to retain all settings and data.

I'm sure that the OEM XP Home will complain when we try to install it over
the copied XP Pro files.  How do we tweak this so the XP Home can be
correctly installed and registered?

Thanks a bunch for tips on how to solve this problem

best regards

Rod

why don't you use the file and settings transfer wizard and make copy of the
settings, then do a fresh install then restore the settings etc from the
file created by F.A.S.T. wizard?

OK, this takes care of the windows settings and data, but what about drivers
and installed applications?  Any solution for copying those too... ?
