Hi,

I recently installed a msft hotfix (article ID 867778).  Now I get a new
error with no apparent solution, please see article ID 282504.  I tried
starting using Last Known Configuration does not help - I only have one
called Undocking Profile or something.  The new error seems to be triggered
whenever I move the laptop (Thinpad 600E), even if only slightly.  (MSFT tech
support is not an affordable option for me  at $245.)

At this point I am considering reinstalling W2k from scracth.  Would there
be any potential problems with this??

Is there something smarter I can do?

Thanks for your help!

Marcus

To Old To . . .
Can you get into safe mode?
Do you have sp4, if so install it in safe mode. This will remove ALL updates
installed after SP4.
I hope this provides some help.
