Dave,

Awhile back you gave me some advice regarding changing my W2K install type
from dual boot to upgrade.  One of your steps was the following:

issue the sys c: command

do I do that from the Run dialog or from a DOS prompt?

Thanks!

Greg

I'm not Dave but I'm pretty sure that he would say something
like this: The "sys" command is a Windows 98 command. It
is not available under Windows 2000. To issue it, you have to
do this:
- Boot the machine with a Win98 diskette (www.bootdisk.com)
- Type   sys c:
When you do this, you will lose the ability to boot the PC into
Windows 98.

Yepper, that's basically what I would have said except I would have added
this instead;

"When you do this, you will lose the ability to boot the PC into| Windows
2000."

DP and Pegasus:

Thanks a bunch folks!  Based on Pegasus' response I'm guessing that making a
boot disk (vs. using the Win 98 disk) is the way to go?
