C++ runtime error starting Acrobat Pro?

For no apparent reason, many staffers I support are unable to launch Acrobat
Pro 6.0 this morning getting a Visual C++ runtime error ... "abnormal program
termination".  The error points to the program's .exe file.
I've tried reinstalling the application, reinstalling IE6, installing
security updates, but all no good.  Any bright ideas out there?  Thanks much.

Well more than likely the ActiveX that Acrobat uses with IE doesn't have permissions.  It's a security issue.
