Progams won't openI try to open progams on desktop by double clicking. I try to open programs
by start-prorams-click program. I get a brief hourglass, then nothing. Any siggestions on how to open programs. Do you get this behavior when booted to Safe Mode?

it only happen with trying to open a program via a shortcut? Are you able to successfully load any programs? If you browse to C:\winnt and double-click on Notepad.exe, does the application open?
