The Fax thingy

Hi group,

Just after W2K starts there is often a delay in things
that hangs around for a minute or so. When I do
Alt + Tab I can see a fax machine icon there.

I never use Windows Fax whatever, never have and
never will. How can I stop it from getting in my way?

Nooo it doesn't. I have had Startup.cpl since well over
4 years and found it very useful. But it won't switch
off that fax machine.

Any other ideas?
