More specifics on Left click not workingWindows 2000 computer was slowing down sometimes freezing up. Would have to
Ctrl/alt/delete to restart. Used eusing.com registry repair two or three times with good success speed back up. Then started slowing down again used registry repair again actually slowed down. Froze up nothing would work had to shut off power to turn off computer. Started computer still slow, popups would appear all over the screen and randomly, restarted and used F8 and last known good config. Then a friend suggested use setup and use default settings. After that left click would not work have to use enter key for start and then right click and enter, or right click to get to close. Cannot download anything, have to use Ctrl/alt/delete to get to shut down screen. Thanks for any help! Personally I'd clean install the operating system and refrain from registry
cleaners in the future but these might help. Most registry repair programs have that feature. Have you tried looking in Device Manager to see if a mouse is recognized properly? Have your tried using Add-Remove Hardware to set it to find the mouse and install the drivers? (Settings,Control Panel,Add-Remove Hardware). Have you tried a wired serial mouse? (only connect and disconnect a serial mouse while the computer is shut down) If, when , you get it working I would suggest that you discontinue using any Registry Cleaner and then run a good anti-virus program and the following two free anti-malware programs. (SAS) SuperAntiSpyware (free version) (MBAM) MalwareBytes Anti-Malware (free version) Download them, install them, update them and then run them one at a time. Buffalo JSRHLF wrote:
