Blue Screen of Death after Update rollup 1 for SP 4 on IBM serverAfter i Updated my xSeries IBM 230 server with Rollup 1 for SP 4, when it
rebooted it came with the well known blue screen. I was not able to boot up in any mode (promt or anything). So im not able to uninstall the rollup again. Is there any way i can undo the damage when i cant boot up the system. Yes.
Boot into recovery console with the Windows 2000, WIndows XP or Windows Server 2003 CD. Here are some references: 229716 Description of the Windows 2000 Recovery Console http://support.microsoft.com/?id=229716 307654 How to install and use the Recovery Console in Windows XP http://support.microsoft.com/?id=307654 NOTE: You will need to know your local Administrator password (or the Directory Services Restore Mode password for a DC) and you will probably need a floppy disk with your mass storage controller driver. Here is a reference: 220845 Adding Third-Party or Updated Driver During Windows Setup http://support.microsoft.com/?id=220845 Once you get to a command prompt in Recovery Console, follow these steps: 1) Boot into recovery console. I suspect that by now you've gone down the server recovery road so I'm probably no help.
